The Duo Larus Minnow 95 is a serious piece of kit and one of the best long distance casting sinking lures available. At a heavy 34g and short 9.5cm this casts like a rocket and sinks like a stone, allowing you to quickly get to a distant bass blitz out of reach for most lures.

The metal lip gives the lure a very effective rolling action and an almost violent vibration that you’ll feel down the braid and that bass must hear and feel from some distance. The lure flutters nicely on the drop and its heavy ball bearings thud rather than rattle.

The Japanese made Duo Larus Minnow 95 was original designed for small off shore game fish like bonito and small tuna (hence the 150lb swivels for both high quality hooks) so is not just a great for UK bass and anything you should encounter from the shore on overseas trips.

The lure in the picture caught a barracuda in Lanzarote and as you can see even though the lure has some scrapes it’s still in good condition.
