Megabass Zonk Lures Explained
Posted by Lure Fishing for Bass on 7th Nov 2015
Megabass Zonk lures come with a variety of three different lips as shown above.
Zonk SW: The most common Zonk in the UK and the shallowest diving.
Zonk Yoro-Yoro: Has a hinged lip and is designed to dive deeper than the SW and to roll more aggressively. Yoro-Yoro is a Japanese phase used to describe the unstable walk of old people.
Zonk Hi-Pitch: Also has a hinged lip and is the deepest diving Zonk. The lip is designed to create a high pitched sound/vibration.

The Zonk Hi-Pitch and Yoro-You are in the most demand due to their superior action. Their downside is that the hinged lips have been known to occasionally break. Usually this is a result of handling hooked bass badly.
Megabass are not currently manufacturing the Yoro-Yoro or Hi-Pitch Zonks. As a result they are becoming harder to source and soon only the Zonk SW will be available.
