Fiiish Black Minnow Explained

Posted by Lure Fishing for Bass on 21st Mar 2015

When you first start exploring the Fiiish Black Minnow lure range it’s not always clear which heads, bodies and hooks go together but, once you understand the Fiiish Black Minnow system of categorising lures you’ll realise it’s very well thought through.

The first thing to know is that every combo, head, body and hook is coded as No1, No2, No3, No4, No5 or No6 and that number relates to the length of the lure.

Number 1 = 70 (70mm / 7cm)

Number 2 = 90 (90mm / 9cm)

Number 3 = 120 (120mm / 12cm)

Number 4 = 140 (140mm / 14cm)

Number 5 = 160 (160mm / 16cm)

Number 6 = 200 (70mm / 20cm)

Using the "No2 90 10g Off Shore" range as an example, we will explain the two ways to buy.

Option One: The first and simplest is to buy a combo pack that contains one pre-rigged minnow and one spare body as shown below.

Option Two: Your second option for buying is the more complicated method of buying the three components needed to construct your own.  A pack of heads, bodies and hooks.  Buying Fiiish as components is more economical per lure than buying combos and as the bodies are soft they often need replacing.

To assemble your own Off Shore 90 10g Black Minnow you'll need to buy the three items below.

A. Pack of No2 khaki bodies (3pcs in a box)

B. Pack of No2 10g jig heads (2pcs in a pack)

C. Pack of No2 Krog hooks (4ps in a pack)
