In our ongoing quest to find a charter boat big enough to take eight lure fishing for bass and a skipper who knows what’s he is doing today we tested the Wight Huntress out of Hayling Island in Hampshire.

As you can see at lure fishing from charter boats we know what we want and know how hard it can be to find a good skipper in any given area. We have tried a number of boats and most of our experiences have been negative.

Glen of Wight Huntress was a refreshing change in that not only does he have a suitable boat, but he knows marks, works on finding out from his network where the bass are and is prepared to use fuel to hunt bass down. Also very helpful views on techniques and light tackle.
