Had a tough day with only about 20 small bass caught and released between the four of us on a nine hour trip. The weed was annoying, the wind was high, water clarity was bad and the terns had gone feeding somewhere else. On the upside a good number of those bass took surface lures (IMA Salt Skimmer) and one fisher had his first ever bass on the surface. Other bass lures that caught included Komomo, Sasuke and tiny white Savage Gear Sandeels.

We did connect with some nice size Scad which is the best sashimi from any UK fish in my humble opinion.

In retrospect we should have moved around more in search of bird activity and used a bad day to find some new marks.
