Lure fishing for Bass

Well what a weekend, thanks obviously go to Mike from Reels and Deals, Weymouth for organising a great comp and organising some great prizes.

I was lucky to be partnered with my good friend Graham Hill who, if your into your lure fishing you would have heard of, and it was great to meet Tom and Mark Padfield who we stuck together with most of the weekend. Mark did an excellent job of showing us the area and exhibiting some great knowledge. Although no absolute monsters where caught this weekend you only need to look at Mark’s mobile phone picture gallery to see what great fish this area can produce.

So the long and short of it was that Graham and I won the pairs and I came third overall with a bass of 2.040kgs, not massive but good enough on the day, the overall winner was Nathan Taylor with a bass of 2.410kg. It was a great weekend with some great company and winning a few prizes was a bonus, if you enjoy bass fishng why not come along next year.
