I agree with both your observations, I’d keep it for when conditions are rough and then really rip it and stop, let is sink down, twitch it a few times and then rip it in again. Hopefully you’ll get a hit on the drop or after a twitch before you repeat the fast retrieve.

Hi people ive tried these lures a few times and they have produced nothing as yet,i try to work them but they seem to come back motionless in the water………. whats the best retrieve in these lures?????
