2016 was the year that large numbers of UK bass lure anglers started using the Gary Yamamoto 6 inch white Senko for shore fishing.  The rise in popularity was due to Henry Gilbey highlighting the Senkos effectiveness as a sandeel imitation at night.

A twist to the story is that reports from multiple US & Japanese sources are saying the 6 inch and 7 inch Gary Yamamoto Senko have been discontinued. Never again will they be manufactured.
