Lure fishing for Bass

Had a great weekend with Graham Hill and Mark Padfield down in Weymouth, what a place, I have never had such variety of species on lures obviously Bass but also Sea Trout, mackies, Gar and Graham and I both landed squid.

But the day was made when mark hooked into the bass above, weighing in at 10lb 3oz she went on two strong runs before Mark was able to bring her to the shore where I nervously landed her, a few quick photos and Mark revived her in the surf before releasing her.

Conditions were calm with a near flat sea and crystal clear and full of bait fish. The session was of to a flying start with Graham and Mark both catching decent fish before the sun was up.

As the sun came up the squid came on the feed, Graham below with a good sized squid caught on a Zonk.
